Christmas Card Holder

Six pockets provide lots of storage for greeting cards and the card holder serves as a seasonal decoration too!

The Christmas card holder design project is limited to the following machines: Brother ULT & Innovis models, Babylock Ellageo & Ellegante models, Viking D I, II, SE with mega hoop; Artista 200 with mega hoop; Brother/Babylock 5&7" embroidery area models with the 3-position jumbo hoop; Singer XL1000 and Singer XL5000 & XL6000.

The supplied designs are located on guidelines to ensure that all will stitch out correctly. You never need to hoop the fabric. Stitch out the guidelines; then align the previously made markings on the fabric with the guidelines. This method ensures that the designs are accurately positioned every time.

The card hanger ( finished size approx. 15 1/2" x 31 1/2 ") is made from lightweight fabric ( e.g. 1/2yd of 45" or .5m of 115cm wide quilting weight cotton or broadcloth) which is backed with craft-weight interfacing. First embroider the text, the Christmas scene designs and the pocket opening and designs. Next finish the project by sewing the embroidered front to a backing of similar light-weight fabric in a co-ordinating color. The big scene of Santa putting gifts under the tree is too cute!

Step-by-step instructions for embroidering and sewing the Christmas card holder are included with the designs. The instructions are illustrated with photos ensuring that even the most inexperienced embroiderer/ sewer will be successful
