CHRISTMAS COUNT DOWN CALENDAR

 

Because of the size of the Christmas design this project is limited to the Brother ULT, Innovis, the Babylock Ellageo, Ellegante, the Husqvarna/Viking Designer I, II, SE plus mega hoop and the Singer XL1000, XL5000, XL6000 machines.

Complete instructions for embroidering and constructing the count down calendar are included with the designs. Once the embroidery has been completed, the calendar is quickly and easily made. The base is purchased pre-quilted fabric ( or you can quilt your own); the edges are finished with a narrow hem. Embroidered strips of felt become the numbered pockets, each one just large enough for a sweet treat or a small trinket. The embroidered squares also serve as the guidelines for aligning the pocket strips and for stitching the pocket.

 

As illustrated to the right, the large Christmas design can be used for other projects. It is just the right size for the front of a sweat shirt, a cushion, an album cover, or a small wall hanging.
